At Rishikesh Traditional Yoga School, we are committed to providing a positive learning experience for every student. This policy explains our refund guidelines, grievance process, community standards, and support services available before, during, and after your course.
PART A: Registration, Cancellation & Refund Policy
1. Course Booking & Registration
Your seat in the selected course is confirmed only after the registration deposit has been received and confirmed by our team.
The registration deposit reserves:
- Your course seat
- Accommodation reservation
- Administrative processing
- Pre-arrival student support
- Course planning and scheduling
Students are advised to carefully review all course details before completing their registration.
2. Registration Deposit Policy
The registration deposit is non-refundable. The deposit is used to secure your place in the course and reserve accommodation arrangements in advance.
The registration deposit will not be refunded under the following circumstances:
- Personal change of plans
- Visa delays or visa rejection
- Flight cancellations or travel disruptions
- Medical conditions preventing travel
- Work, family, or financial commitments
- Failure to arrive for the course
- Withdrawal before the course start date
Students are encouraged to purchase suitable travel insurance before making travel arrangements.
3. Course Fee Balance Policy
The remaining course fee must be paid according to the instructions provided by the school.
3.1 Batch Transfer Option
If a student cannot attend the booked course, a one-time batch transfer may be requested.
Transfer requests must:
- Be submitted by email
- Be approved by the school
- Be requested before the course start date
- Be used within 12 months of the original booking date
- Transfer requests are subject to seat availability.
- No cash refund will be provided in place of a transfer.
3.2 When Transfers Cannot Be Granted
Transfers are not available if:
- The course has already started
- The student has checked into the accommodation
- The student has attended classes
- The student has already used a previous transfer
- The transfer request is received after the course commencement date
3.3 Cancellation or No-Show
If a student fails to arrive for the course without prior approval, the booking will be considered cancelled.
No refund will be provided for missed classes, late arrivals, no-shows, or voluntary withdrawals.
3.4 Leaving the Course Early
If a student decides to leave the course after it has started, no refund, transfer, credit, or adjustment will be issued for the unused portion of the program.
Accommodation, meals, and classes already reserved for the student remain non-refundable.
3.5 School-Initiated Changes
In rare situations, the school may need to reschedule a course due to circumstances beyond normal operations.
In such cases, students may be offered:
- A transfer to a future batch
- An alternative course date
- Another suitable arrangement agreed upon by both parties
3.6 Force Majeure
The school shall not be held responsible for delays, cancellations, or interruptions caused by events beyond reasonable control, including:
- Natural disasters
- Government restrictions
- Pandemics
- Civil disturbances
- Travel bans
- Utility failures
Where possible, reasonable efforts will be made to offer alternative arrangements.
4. Online Programs
For online courses, access to study materials, recordings, or digital learning platforms is considered commencement of the service. Once access has been provided, payments are non-refundable.

5. Participation Guidelines
Rishikesh Traditional Yoga School welcomes students from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds. We ask all students to contribute to a respectful and supportive learning environment.

- Harassment or discrimination
- Offensive or abusive language
- Misleading information
- Unauthorized use of school materials
- Disruptive conduct during classes
- Illegal activities
- Impersonation of staff, teachers, or students
Content Moderation
The school reserves the right to remove or refuse any content, review, testimonial, or communication that is unlawful, misleading, offensive, abusive, or harmful to the school community.

7. How To Submit A Grievance
To submit a complaint, students should provide:
- Full name
- Contact information
- Course details
- Description of the concern
- Relevant dates
- Supporting documents where applicable
Complaints should be submitted by email for proper documentation and review.
8. Resolution Timeline

I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in November 2023, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. The teachers were highly knowledgeable and supportive, the accommodation was comfortable, and the food was excellent. I am incredibly grateful to this school. Truly, deeply grateful for the atmosphere they created. It felt so warm, so human, so supportive - like a family. They were always ready to help with everything, and it meant a lot to me. These days were absolutely amazing. All the teachers were wonderful, and I fell in love with every single class. My experience at Rishikesh Traditional Yoga School is hard to put into words. It’s an experience I’ll never forget, and I’m so glad I chose this school for my 200 Hour Yoga TTC. The physical yoga classes pushed me to grow physically, improving my strength and flexibility. Philosophy and meditation helped me to look within myself and strengthen my mind. The school itself is situated in one of the nicest, most tranquil areas of Tapovan, and the food is delicious, made with love, quality produce and very healthy. I just finished my 200 Hour TTC in Ashtanga and Hatha yoga at Rishikesh Traditional Yoga School. I loved it so much that I stayed longer and completed the Yin Yoga Training as well. My courses are finished, and I am still here!! It’s such a comfortable, homey feeling that is hard to leave. It was a tough decision to choose this school among hundreds of others, and I am so GLAD that I completed my training here and had the chance to meet these incredible people! Rajeev ji, the owner and head teacher, and Pami ji, the manager, are the kindest!! Both of them are very understanding, adjusting to any and all of our needs at all times. “No” is not an answer for them; they always find a solution and try their best to make us happy and satisfied. Quick response, always positive attitude. Arranging many activities off the training schedule, including us at their celebrations, throwing 2 birthday parties for the team!! They went above and beyond expectations. They really made it feel home here, inclusive and warm as a family. Many, many, many thanks!!! Our teachers are great! They are experienced, confident, and love to teach- this was the most important. You can really see the effort they put into their teachings and sharing their knowledge. They empathise in hard times - (the course can get intense sometimes!) - and are always there to support you. Practising in a small class was amazing- it created a family environment where we bonded instantly. Each of us received great attention from all the teachers throughout the course; all the teachers knew and remembered what was wrong with who, who liked what and not. Sunil ji, the chef, is incredible!!! He really knows how to satisfy both our eyes and our mouths. He manages to make the sattvic healthy diet exciting! Love his breakfast specials and the curries. Thanks, chef! The school is located in Upper Tapovan, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, right by the forest with beautiful mountain views. Close to nature with a forest path right by and a waterfall, yet 3 minutes away from lovely cafes and hangout spots. You get to pick what you feel like anytime :) Overall, it was an amazing experience! Thank you very, very much to the management and all the staff members, from teachers to kitchen and cleaning.
