We did our 200-hour yoga teacher training in Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa here, and we were very satisfied. The teachers are of high quality, being able to answer all questions and with a good pedagogical approach! A special thank you to anatomy and meditation teacher Dipendar Ji for making anatomy and meditation so interesting!! The facilities are also very nice. We had a shared room without air conditioning, but you could upgrade to a room with AC. The food was made by a beautiful team from organic and local products. The school buys its mustard oil from the village of the family, and we really love that they support local businesses and prioritise good quality food! We felt like part of the family in our 3 weeks here, and we would recommend everyone who wants a serious yoga teacher training to come here. 🧘‍♀️ All the love, Oda and Leo.

Being in Rishikesh and learning yoga in a more traditional way was a different experience for me. Waking up early, doing pranayama, and following a simple routine took some time to adjust to, but slowly it started to feel good. The teachers explained things in a very genuine way, not just how to do it but why we do it. Staying near the Ganga and in such a peaceful place made everything feel more real. I came here just to learn, but I'm leaving with a calm mind and a deeper understanding of yoga. Really thankful for this experience.

I am very happy that I have completed my yoga training with Rishikesh Traditional Yoga School. The best school in Rishikesh. With the astonishing space and view, all the yoga teachers are excellent and very professional in their particular subject. Before completing this course, I was thinking yoga is just posture and breathing. But after completing the course, I know and understand that yoga is a way of living. It's not only a few hours you spend on your mat. It's living each and every moment of life to its fullest. Food was sattvik and extremely delicious. The special classes of Ayurveda give you an understanding of your body type and also about the food. Overall, they are not just limited to class; they let you experience yoga every moment. The yoga studio is very beautiful, with a mountain view, good quality yoga mats and other props. The floor was nicely cleaned and beautiful. I did one drop-in class and am looking forward to doing the teacher training program very soon, as I feel this is the perfect place. Let's see how my journey will be. Hoping for the best as this school is recommended by so many people.

My husband and I were very pleased with the 200 hour TTC. The room was comfortable, the staff were all very professional, and the food was great, diverse and not greasy. We found the bed pretty hard, but the staff gave us extra cushioning. Highly recommend.

If you are looking for a spiritual transformation and a solid foundation to become a teacher, this school is a top-tier choice.

Had a great experience learning Yin Yoga at RTYS. They were really helpful and friendly from the second I got there, and the teaching was incredible from authentic and knowledgeable yoga teachers connected to the lineage. Would recommend to anyone looking for a short course in Yin Yoga.

Wonderful people filling every role here at RTYS. Rajiv ji has built a team of friendly, knowledgeable and skilled teachers with small class sizes (15 in our group, 10 in the prior group, 200h yoga TTC). Sometimes with classes held in the beautiful private garden in front of the school. Pammi and fam maintain the property very well, and Sunil creates delicious sattvic food in the kitchen. A welcoming family feel to the place. I highly recommend!

I completed the 200hr teacher training as well as the 50hr Yin teacher training in November 2024. I can highly recommend both programs. It was exactly what I was looking for and surpassed my expectations. We were a small group of 4 in the 200hr training, which allowed the teachers to give a lot of individual attention. The programs are well structured, and the school also organised excursions on Sundays. The teachers are very dedicated and knowledgeable, and I found them to be very friendly and open. The hosts and staff are also very dedicated to making your stay as comfortable as possible. For example, the food is a true pleasure to eat every time, and the hosts respond quickly to questions. To summarise, this school is definitely worth your consideration!

I did my Yin training at Rishikesh Traditional Yoga, and all I can say is that I feel blessed to have studied under the guidance and support of some of the best teachers in Rishikesh. Their knowledge and dedication is truly impeccable. They really care about their students and are very approachable and patient with any questions and doubts. It's like being part of the family and a sense of community that will remain with me forever. I only wish they had more courses so I could study more under these amazing teachers and in this amazing school. Even the location is beautiful, away from the hustle and bustle of Tapovan, in serene and peaceful surroundings overlooking the mountains. The food is quite delicious, and Chef Sunil makes every effort to accommodate one's requests. Positive vibrations everywhere. Rishikesh Traditional Yoga School has excellent and experienced teachers and instructors. All of them were very knowledgeable and professional. The school is located on a hill away from noise; it has a beautiful view and a couple of cafes and shops nearby. The staff is amazing, helpful and always willing to serve you; the food was delicious.

One of the best schools for yoga courses, with the best qualified and experienced teachers, especially Rajeev Guru ji. This school has good outdoor space; the food was really healthy and hygienic, and all the staff members are very, very helpful, especially the chef, Mr Sunil. I'd love to visit again at this school for advanced yoga courses 🙏

My intuition and feeling about this place were completely right! So happy and satisfied with this experience. I've finished my 200h TTC and am finishing my 50h of Yin yoga, and honestly I think I'm going for more lol. The school with the staff is the perfect place to have the experience of learning and enjoying your time. I did my 50hr Yin course at the school, and I loved every moment of it. The school itself is situated in one of the nicest, more tranquil areas of Tapovan; the food is delicious, made with love, quality produce and very healthy. The Yin course for me was one of the most enjoyable courses I have done. I loved the teachers and their unique teaching methodology. It was 100% Yin focused, covering philosophy, meridians, sequencing and 2 very complete Yin classes every day. 100% recommend."

He hecho el programa de Yin Yoga de 50 horas y me ha gustado mucho, muy relajante, quizá hasta demasiado, Los últimos días mi cuerpo ya me pedía bailar o correr!! Lo recomiendo para compensar tanta acción y para tomar conciencia de los bloqueos que se esconden en el cuerpo y liberarlos a través de estiramientos y posturas que liberan energías estancadas. Los profesores muy buenos! La sala con bonitas vistas. En general todo muy agradable!

Learning at this school was great; the teachers instruct in a very deep way, with spirituality and good knowledge of the subject. The food was delicious and the setting almost unbeatable.

This school is the best choice for anyone who wants to improve in yoga (students or teachers). They offer everything you need: accommodation, great teachers, amazing food, awesome location (best coffee in town is right across the school, Secret Garden Cafe). Overall an amazing experience!

The program is intense and absolutely worth it to have a proper full immersion in yoga, not only for the asana practice but also for the deeper understanding of the philosophy and science behind it. The teachers are all great and dedicated to sharing all the knowledge with students. The staff is very nice and was always really helpful. Very nice food, service, rooms and yoga shala. Located in the most peaceful area of Rishikesh. Highly recommend it!!

What an amazing experience this was. The teachers were fantastic, and the food was delicious. The school really put in an effort to ensure that we had a good time. The excursions that they planned were spectacular. I really felt like I was part of a family and wish the course didn't end so quickly. I would highly recommend Rishikesh Traditional Yoga School as a place to complete your YTT. You get so much more than just a certificate. You leave feeling part of a family and community.

Ich hatte eine super schöne Zeit an der Rishikesh Traditional Yoga School. Nach meinem ersten Yoga Teacher Training wollte ich tiefer in die Yogaphilosophie eintauchen und habe einen 100-Stunden-Holistic-Yoga-Kurs gebucht. Meine Erwartungen wurden mehr als übertroffen! Alle Lehrer sind unfassbar kompetent und man spürt, dass Yoga wirklich eine Lebensphilosophie ist. Auch die Exkursionen (z.B. Rafting) waren außerordentlich gut organisiert und haben den Zusammenhalt in der Gruppe verstärkt. Die Zimmer sind sauber und gepflegt, das Essen äußerst lecker! Würde jederzeit wieder hier buchen. Danke für diese wunderbare Arbeit!

I have just finished my 200-hour teacher training with Rishikesh Traditional Yoga School, and it was totally an amazing experience for me. I have been practising yoga for more than 10 years and with my experience, I learnt many new things here. The area is beautiful and safe. We had our yoga lessons in a sunny, clean yoga room with a wonderful view. All the teachers are really passionate about yoga here and gave us their best. All the staff members are very kind and helpful. Food was always delicious and freshly made with local vegetables and fruits. My room was simple, clean, perfect for spending this time there. My classmates were very nice people. We made an amazing team together. Forever friendships were made in this place. I am happy that I chose this school and training. I warmly recommend this school and teacher training to everyone.

I joined this school for 200 hour Ashtanga and Hatha yoga. The days spent in this school changed my perception of yoga. I gained so much knowledge in the philosophy class conducted by Swami ji. His style of teaching is epic. Also, the Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher's way of teaching is great. You will learn a lot about Ashtanga Vinyasa asanas and gazing points. This class is worth it for sure. Hatha class was also one of my favourites; you will learn the basic and core muscle knowledge here, how to warm up the core muscles and how to work on your body step by step. And now the Anatomy class. What a knowledgeable teacher the school has when it comes to anatomy. He has core knowledge about the body organs and muscles, and great book references on anatomy. The way of teaching is also commendable; he demonstrates the main core muscles and bones practically. Love it. Last, the Pranayama class introduced me to various pranayamas (breathing techniques) and also taught me the pranayamas according to season and ailments. I totally loved the experience and teaching. Also the place and food are worth the money.

I just finished my 200h TTC in Ashtanga and Hatha yoga at Rishikesh Traditional Yoga School. I loved it so much that I stayed more and completed the Yin Yoga training as well. My courses are finished and I am still here!! It's such a comfortable homey feeling that is hard to leave. It was a tough decision to choose this school among hundreds of others and I am SO GLAD that I completed my training here and had the chance to meet these incredible people! Rajeev ji, the owner and head teacher, and Pammi ji, the manager, are the kindest!! Both very understanding, adjusting to any and all of our needs at all times. 'No' is not an answer for them; they always find a solution and try their best to make us happy and satisfied. Quick response, always positive attitude. Arranging many activities off the training schedule, including us in their celebrations, throwing 2 birthday parties for the team!! They went above and beyond expectations. They really made it feel like home here, inclusive and warm as a family. Many many thanks!! Our teachers are great! They are experienced, confident and love to teach; this was the most important. You can really see the effort they put into their teaching and sharing their knowledge. They empathise in hard times (the course can get intense sometimes!) and are always there to support you. Practising in a small class was amazing; it created a family environment where we bonded instantly. Each of us received great attention from all the teachers; throughout the course, all the teachers knew and remembered what's wrong with whom, who likes what and not. Sunil ji the chef, is incredible!! He really knows how to satisfy both our eyes and mouth. He manages to make the sattvic healthy diet exciting! Love his breakfast specials and the curries. Thanks, chef! The school is located at Upper Tapovan, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, right by the forest with beautiful mountain views. Close to nature with a forest path right by and a waterfall, yet 3 minutes away from lovely cafes and hangout spots. Overall, it was an amazing experience! I did the 200hr multi-style TTC and 50hr Yin yoga training straight after. It was an amazing month in Rishikesh learning about yoga in a traditional and authentic way. The teachers were very knowledgeable and professional, with plenty of laughs as well! The accommodation is great and in a fantastic spot in Tapovan; the food was delicious and nutritious. I'll be back 🙏

Had a great experience at Rishikesh Traditional Yoga School. I completed the 200hr teacher training and loved it so much I stayed for the 50hr Yin teacher training. Would highly recommend both courses; the teaching was amazing, very informative and authentic. The teachers were passionate and very knowledgeable. I learnt a lot and had a great time with the other students; we had extra activities included with the course which was awesome :) The staff were lovely and went above and beyond to make us all feel at home. Food was healthy and delicious. It was a great experience, would come back for more!

The Yin Yoga teacher training was simply amazing! It certainly exceeded my expectations! I learned so much in such a short period of time. The content and structure were very comprehensive and gave me confidence to teach what I learned. The teachers are so knowledgeable, authentic, generous and genuinely care about us!
