What is Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a blend of Traditional Hatha Yoga and Chinese medicine Body Meridian. As the Daoist philosophy define Two opposite and complementary Principle of Life i.e Yin and Yang. Our in-house sattvic kitchen prepares healthy, freshly prepared meals for our yoga students. We have a team of chefs who have been making Ayurvedic Khicri, Rotis, Biryani, Dahls, Idlis, Dalia, Poha, Mix-veg Pranthas, and many more healthy Indian dishes for years. Every single component, including the spices, fresh veggies, fruits, milk, yogurt, etc., comes from the organic merchants.

All students are asked to adhere to a sattvic diet as part of our commitment to their well-being here at Rishikesh Traditional Yoga School. Eating sattvic foods may help cleanse the body and soothe the mind. The menu is crafted by a Master Chef who has worked at five-star hotels worldwide for many years. He is well-versed in the sattvic diet and emphasizes sanitary preparation to preserve the food's nutritional value, which is essential for a healthy life.

The energy level of food prepared by someone who is furious will undoubtedly be lower than that of food prepared by someone who is happy, grateful, and loving. To keep the Prana (life force energy) in your meal, try listening to calming music or chanting while you prepare and consume it. According to ancient Indian writings, "you are what you eat," thus it's important to pay attention to what we consume.

We have tucked our location away in a dense Himalayan wilderness, far from any hotels that cater to tourists. Elegant simplicity abounds in these rooms, which are large and furnished with contemporary conveniences such as WiFi, hot water, Western toilets, comfy linen, and more. The surrounding natural beauty is enhanced by the breathtaking sunset point and the expansive vista of the Himalayas.

Our school is located in the picturesque, verdant Himalayas, making it an ideal spot for meditative yoga practices. Near the ashram, you may find basic necessities including organic food stores, cafés, restaurants, ATMs, and shops.

Students may choose between single and double rooms at the school. Each room is very clean and has its own private bathroom with a hot shower and a western toilet. In addition, each room has its own balcony where you can take in breathtaking views of the garden and surrounding mountains. Each student is given a set of necessities such as a bed, pillows, bath towels, toilet paper, blankets, and more. Water and laundry facilities are also accessible, and Wi-Fi is offered on all floors.

A yoga teacher training facility in Rishikesh can also help you find affordable housing. There is no balcony or view of the mountains from these apartments. You may also use all of the other amenities in these rooms.

Code Of Conducts For Students
We expect Yogic discipline and the required code of conduct from all students who join our course. Mira Yogashala has set specific disciplinary rules for all of its participants.
  • Smoking and Alcohol are not allowed in the school.
  • To avoid food wastage we advise students to inform beforehand whenever they have fasting.
  • Students must maintain discipline and should pay respect to all teachers.
  • All participants must show punctual behavior and should arrive for classes on time. Those who come late will not be allowed for joining sessions.
  • Anything burrowed from school like books, or any goods must be returned on time
  • We provide accommodation only to participants and not their friends or family
  • Students have to maintain complete attendance.
